The street first

The rule for that place. Marina is still Dubai. Yas is still Abu Dhabi. A DHA link will not issue an Abu Dhabi certificate.

    Dubai

Birth certificates via DHA, vaccines in Nabidh, nurseries under KHDA, and visas that often also pass through GDRFA Dubai. Check the official notice.

    • Birth certificate

DHA’s digital certificate is AED 70, ready in one working day, in Arabic or English. Apply with UAE PASS. Call 800 342 and confirm the fee before you pay.

DHA service, reported 26 August 2026

    • 120 days

Residents have 120 days from the birth to arrange the certificate, passport, Emirates ID and visa. A DHA or Department of Health stamp stands in for a Ministry of Health attestation.

    • School fees, 2026–27

No increase in private school fees. Early childhood centres permitted by KHDA are exempt from licence renewal fees, fines, and Dubai Municipality market fees.

Department of Health birth certificates, Malaffi records, and ADEK for private schools. This is not a Dubai checklist with the names swapped.

    • Nurseries and schools

233 nurseries and 220 private schools, across Abu Dhabi, Al Ain and Al Dhafra.

      ADEK, 6 October 2025

    • Added in that count

Seven nurseries, 929 seats: Chubby Cheeks on Al Reem Island, Kids Fantasy in Madinat Zayed, Aflaj in Khalifa City, Baynounah in Al Hisn, Kids Academy in Al Bateen, Redwood in Mohamed Bin Zayed City, and Redwood on Yas Island. Two schools, 3,610 seats: Premium International in Al Ain, and Yasmina American in Khalifa City.

    • Birth certificate

Issued by the Department of Health, not DHA. Vaccines sit in Malaffi. The federal 120-day window for the certificate, passport, Emirates ID and visa still applies.

    Sharjah

Many families live in Sharjah and work in Dubai. The baby’s health file still follows the hospital where the child was born, not the office.

    Dubai Marina

Towers, traffic at 5:30, and clinics that count as near only when they sit in your cluster, not across the Marina. Check the official notice.

    Yas Island

Abu Dhabi rules and island distances. Birth certificates go through the Department of Health and Malaffi, not a Marina advice thread.

The same emirate as the capital, with quieter streets, and the same Department of Health and Malaffi paperwork as Abu Dhabi city. Check the official notice.
